Identification of Geographical Origin of Milk by Amino Acid Profile Coupled with Chemometric Analysis

This study aimed to establish a method identify the geographical origin of milk based on its amino acid profile. High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) was carried out measure contents. The significant differences profiles samples from four regions in China (Hebei, Ningxia, Heilongjiang, and Inner Mongolia) were analyzed by ANOVA. Furthermore, principal component analysis (PCA) demonstrated feasibility identification using an profile, which first 2 components account for 65.62% total variance. predictive model established orthogonal partial least squares-discriminant (OPLS-DA) with classification accuracy 100% performance parameters R2X 0.98, R2Y 0.82, Q2 0.75. excellent ability validated validation data set. variable importance projection (VIP) showed that seven acids played key role identification. is reliable strategy protecting consumers against mislabeling fraud.
